The textbook is intended for students of the faculty "Water bioresources and aquaculture" . It consists of 18 lessons. The purpose of the proposed manual is to develop skills in working with texts in the specialty, which implies the development of terminology and the ability to extract useful information from what has been read. The materials of the manual also allow to develop skills of professional communication within the specialty. Each lesson contains the necessary amount of exercises aimed at mastering the lexical-grammatical foundations and training the skills of monologue and dialogic speech. The educational texts of the manual are provided with lists of terminology and are close to the topics of the main special disciplines included in the programs of the 1st and 2nd courses of the faculty "Water Bioresources and Aquaculture" .
