The textbook is based on the course of lectures given by the author on the academic discipline "Theory of a deformable solid body", for students in the direction of training 240300 "Chemical technology of energy-saturated materials and products" . The manual deals with the physical foundations of plasticity and strength, as well as the destruction of crystalline materials when they are loaded. To assess the deformation behavior of crystalline materials, modern ideas about their atomic-molecular structure, as well as the positions of the dislocation theory are involved. The fundamental differences between the two approaches for the description of plastic deformation and destruction: the mechanics of the continuous medium and the kinetic nature of the strength of solids. Briefly described information about the features of the defective structure and deformation behavior of crystals of energy-saturated materials (ENM).
