The complete diary of Virginia Woolf, according to her nephew Quentin Bell, is a masterpiece that stands on a par with the novels Waves and On the Lighthouse. On January 1, 1915, Virginia decided to keep daily records. Breaking only six weeks later due to a severe nervous breakdown, she returned to her diary in 1917 and kept it for the rest of her life. These are probably the most intimate recordings we have of her.
