In 1984, on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, the fighters of the “Cascade” group destroyed the “dukhov” caravan and captured a strange kind of device, the purpose of which could only be guessed at. They could not deliver the trophy to their special forces: they were ambushed and all died. The device disappeared without a trace, and the incident was soon forgotten. The heroic death of the Cascade fighters was remembered almost thirty years later, when CIA agents suddenly appeared in the gorge where the caravan was defeated and began to actively seek something.
