Rudy Rucker is an American science fiction writer, mathematician, co-author of Bruce Sterling and Paul Di Filippo, one of the pioneers of cyberpunk. He developed his own version of cyberpunk - "transrealism", describing familiar to the general reader storylines and images through fantastic terms. The themes and ideas of the tetralogy "Ensuring" (Ware, 1982-2000) were subsequently picked up and replicated by many other authors. 2001. Nevertheless, they cooperate with earthlings, regularly supplying them with donor organs grown on special farms - eyes, fingers, kidneys and much more. But a fragile truce cannot last long. Some boppers are concerned about the subordination of their fellows, another makes sinister plans to kidnap people and replace them with almost identical twins. The war is on the verge, but does it make sense? Is there a chance of victory for people who have made boppers too human? And does it exist for boppers who have learned from their creators not only communication and social skills, but also vices?
