In this, the famous screenwriter and writer Anita Luz (1891-1981) was repeatedly convinced by her own experience : According to her, she associated herself with the brunette Dorothy - the wise life of the friend of the charming blonde Lorelei Lee. A remarkable storyteller, Luce began publishing short stories from Lorelei's life in Harper's Bazaar in 1925, and thanks to their popularity, the magazine's circulation quadrupled. The book “Gentlemen prefer blondes” and its sequel “But gentlemen marry brunettes” (1927) were a resounding success, as evidenced by the appearance of a musical Broadway version of the work. And in 1953 there was a film with an unforgettable Marilyn Monroe in the title role. Her character is woven from contradictions: she is charming and selfish, stupid and reasonable, frank and false - in a word, a real blonde.
