Grotesque-satirical "animal puppet" comedy "Famous" (1975) by the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard turned to the theatrical and musical world, appearing in the era of its ultimate commercialization as an all-encompassing fair of vanity, self-love, envy and slander. The ensemble of the characters of the play performs a multi-voiced score of this operatic and self-exposing act of evil and fun, even cheerfully, and Bernhard does not stint on the diverse artistic means that color the text.
