Georgy Chulkov - a famous poet and prose writer, literary and theatrical critic, publisher of Russian classical heritage, memoirist - has long been among the unjustly forgotten and almost erased from the literary history of writers of pre-revolutionary Russia. In parallel with the Decembrist theme, Chulkov’s activities develop serious gun research interests, implemented in dozens of articles, publications, reviews devoted to Pushkin. The book “The Life of Pushkin”, timed to the centenary of the poet’s death, was met with criticism far from enthusiastic, noting its methodological imperfection, but nevertheless it played an important role and proved to be very useful for the further development of domestic gun science.
