Wilhelm Gauf remained in the reader’s memory as the author of world-famous fairy tales about the Caliph-aist, the dwarf Nose and the little Muk, which, despite the very short creative life of the writer, made him an outstanding representative of German romantic literature. During the life of Gauf, his fairy tales were printed in separate collections, called “Almanacs of fairy tales”, in which each story had its continuation and cunningly intertwined with the rest of them. The most famous fairy tales became famous as separate, independent works, but they should be read, of course, according to the author’s plan. This collection includes all three Almanacs of Gauf’s fairy tales, representing a strange world full of secrets, wonders and amazing adventures.
