For more than a quarter of a century, the outstanding Canadian writer Margaret Atwood (p.) 1939) creates works of striking originality and depth, repeatedly awarded with prestigious literary awards. The Blind Assassin, which won the Booker Prize in 2000, is actually several novels nested in each other. Atwood takes the reader through the entire 20th century, and only at the end we begin to understand: the story that the author tells us is not exactly what really happened. Or to be more precise, it was much worse.
