Four university friends go to the Scandinavian wilderness at the Arctic Circle - they seek to distract from everyday problems and reunite with each other. But when Luke, the only one of them who has a lonely and miserable existence in the world, realizes that he has little in common with his well-to-do friends, the tension between them grows. Thanks to a lack of training and experience, the idea of cutting the path turns their trek into a nightmare, and can cost them their lives. Lost, hungry, and surrounded by a forest in which man has not walked for thousands of years, they stumble upon an old dwelling, whose walls are decorated with ancient artifacts, and the floor is strewn with bones. Traces of old rites and pagan sacrifices for the glory of what still dwells in the forest. Something follows them on their heels. He is not a human being....
