Godunovs - a well-known Russian noble family, which ceased to exist three centuries ago. Representatives of this family were kings, nobles, deacons, were part of the Boyar Duma, headed the main regiments during military campaigns. According to the well-known historian-researcher C. B. Veselovsky, Godunovs were distinguished by “completely exceptional cohesion and loyalty to the old boyar traditions” and managed to “preserve tribal discipline for three centuries” .. There are many myths associated with this dynasty, and to this day exciting researchers and people interested in the history of the country. With absolute certainty, we can say that Godunovs occupy a special place in the Russian national consciousness.
