Young American writer W. Sambrot in the story “The Wall” uses a fantastic method of “reviving” one of the ancient Greek myths, transferring it to our time. Under his pen, an old legend acquires an unexpected sound: its background are vivid pictures of the life and life of an abandoned Greek village and the adventure of the invading overseas collector of antiquities from the galaxy of those “collectors” who are trying to get hold of the national treasures of other countries.
