Abstract from the journal:In 1989 in the almanac "Chronograph" Kira Bulychev's essay "The Padcheritsa of the Epoch" was published, which caused an unprecedented excitement for literary and critical research. It is understandable: the essay was devoted to the most unexplored, the most dramatic and ambiguous period of our fiction - the years 1917-1941. In the foreword, he hinted that there would be a continuation of .. Older readers, of course, remember how he waited... But, unfortunately, the second essay did not appear. Years later, the author returned to the era of interest to him, and from this issue the magazine begins publication of a series of historical and literary essays about little-known pages of domestic fiction. We draw your attention to the fact that these are not impartial notes of the critic, but historical and literary observations of the writer.
