The action of the fantastic novel takes place in the early 90s after the collapse of the USSR in Central Asia. A demobilized soldier tries to get home. The soldier's name is Fyodor Sukhov and he is the great-grandson of the same Sukhov, forced to again work out the fate (karma) of his ancestor and trying with all his might to break out of this circle. However, the new Fedor Sukhov is forced to save the world, but not at all as a “hard nut”, all his “battle actions” solve little in the end ... And around no one except Fedor and some others do not understand that they are in a vicious circle of history
