Among the lines transmitted by the Geshe Gelug school was one line of inner, hidden, personal instruction, the explanation of which was not given publicly. This was formerly an esoteric teaching, little known, and passed down orally to Sangye-eshe, until it was verbally expounded here by the First Panchen Lama, Losang Chokyi Gyalzen. This beautiful, very clear and useful text gives the mind and meaning, and purpose. To give those who are deeply interested in this practice a far-reaching and unshakable inspiration, I have been asked to give this talk about mahamudra, based on the inspiration of the entire lineage of teachers.
