Sipsik (est. Sipsik is a revived rag doll, a character in Estonian children's literature, invented by writer Eno Raud. In the 1960s, a series of stories about Sipsik for preschoolers brought Raud popularity, and over time, Sipsik became one of the symbols of Estonian children's literature. Raud's book "Sypsic" (est.) Sipsik was published in 1962 with drawings by Edgar Walter; another collection, Anu and Sipsik (est.), appeared in 1970. Anu ja Sipsik). Stories about Sipsika were translated into European languages, into Russian and into the languages of the republics of the USSR.
