Primo Levy was born in 1919 in Turin . Graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Turin . 19431945: Prisoner of Auschwitz. After his release, he worked as a chemist, engaged in literature and translations. He is the author of two autobiographical books about the camp experience - "Is This a Man?" (1947), "Breather" (1963), several novels and novels. He committed suicide in 1987[edit]
