In November 1918, the poem “Twelve” with illustrations by Annenkov came out with a circulation of 300 copies, which sold out by pre-subscription. The publication was a success and another 10,000 copies were published. From Blok’s letter: “Dear Yuri Pavlovich... Drawings for “Twelve” I was terribly afraid and even afraid to talk to you . Now, looking at them, I want to tell you that different angles, parts, artistic thoughts - I am inexpressibly close and expensive, and the general - more than acceptable - t. e.
