Described phenomena caused by the action of electromagnetic radiation of the millimeter wave range of low (non-thermal) intensity on living organisms. The questions of generation by cells of coherent acoustoelectric and electromagnetic waves are analyzed (with frequencies, corresponding to the millimeter wave range), used by organisms to control the processes of restoration of impaired functions or adaptation to changed conditions of existence. The structural changes in cells accompanying the processes of excitation of oscillations in them are discussed. Methods of experimental detection and study of weak coherent signals generated by cells based on the use of mutual and external synchronization of these signals are considered. Data on the processes associated with the performance of membrane structures of the functions of control of intracellular processes of intercellular interaction. are presented. This data is linked to the great opportunities opened up by the practical application of HF radiation in medicine and biology. General biological significance of the analyzed processes is discussed. Examples of medical and biological use of the phenomena under consideration are given. For scientists: physicists, biophysicists, biochemists, biologists, doctors, specialists in the field of radiophysics .
