The monograph is devoted to the arming and equipping of a combat horse from Sarmatian monuments II . before n. e. - IV in . n. e. in the territory of modern Ukraine and Moldova . The book contains all the finds of the sarmat weapons (swords, daggers, spears and arrows, bow details, helmets, shells, shield details) and equipment of the rider (doodles, psalms, phalars and other ornaments of the harness, spurs, etc.) p. Many of which are published for the first time. The typology and classification of the material and its modern chronology are carried out, the place of Sarmatian weapons in the system of Eurasian nomadic antiquities is determined. Issues of military affairs of the Sarmatians of the Northern Black Sea region are being studied, in particular, a new look at the “problem of the Sarmatian cataphractars” is proposed. The book is intended for archaeologists, military historians, nomadologists, students of historical faculties, all interested in military history.
