Ekaterinburg: In-t chemistry of solids UrO RAS, 2010. 43 s. This section provides an overview of current methods for investigating the surface of solids. As an example, the key methods representing three conditional directions of surface analysis are considered: spectroscopy (RFES, EOS), diffraction (RFD, DME) and microscopy (STM, AFM) . Together, these methods allow us to study the chemical composition and structure of the surface, to study the electronic structure of solids, to obtain images of the surface with atomic resolution, to manipulate atoms on the surface and to study the processes occurring on the surface.
