This collection was called by Trotsky himself "Lenin's Correspondence with Trotsky", which also included communications with others. In 1939, the papers were evacuated to Oxford and only after World War II returned to Amsterdam, the text of the documents was published as "The Trotsky Papers", Part I (1917-1919) / "Trotsky Papers", Part 1 (1917-1919), Mouton & Co. 1964 and Part II (1920-1922), Mouton, 1971, in The Hague by Jan Majer.
