Despite the crises that book production is experiencing along with other types of products, the book gletter is growing every year. The book has become a monumental work of art, it is not only fondled by the gentle fingers of several bibliophiles, it is grasped by hundreds of thousands of hands. This statement is unusually modern, meanwhile, it is taken from the article “Our book”, published on the pages of the “Gutenberg Yearbook” about 80 years ago. Its author, Lazar (Eliazar) Markovich Lisitsky, or, as he usually signed his works, El Lisitsky, had a tremendous influence on the formation of the art of the book of the 20th century.
