Monograph . - Kherson: Grin D . C. , 2011. — 470 s. The monograph is devoted to the consideration of methods of studying forest fires, the use of which allows to more effectively carry out activities for the prevention of forest fires, their elimination and prevention of consequences. The book provides an overview of existing methods for modeling forest fire behavior, as well as forest fire hazard assessment. Some of the most well-known fire risk assessment systems are described in detail: American and Canadian. The authors proposed a simulation model of fire based on the chemical laws of combustion and formal logical apparatus. The book also discusses the approach to building a forest fire model using artificial neural networks that allow processing large sets of features of a different nature, which are characterized by forest fires. Special attention is paid to the use of modern information technologies in forest fire management. The book proposes the architecture of a geo-informational decision support system to combat forest fires. Integration of geoinformation and Internet technologies for creation of web-oriented geoinformation system of forestry is also considered.
