They wrote about the famous Hungarian traveler, ethnographer and linguist Vambery (1832 - 1913) that his life was like a fairy tale - so incredible were the adventures that accompanied him on his travels, so thorny was his entire life path. In the 60s of the past century Vamberi, under the guise of a dervish, penetrated into Central Asia and Persia. The result of his travels and research were books describing his travels in the East and works on Turkic and Finno-Ugric lexicography. Vamberi’s life and travels are described in this short story.
