The main subject of study is the peculiarities of the perception of cats in different cultures throughout the history of mankind. The novelty lies in the fact that this is one of the first attempts to combine and systematize the material devoted to the relationship of man to the cat, to show the perception of the cat by various peoples of the world from different sides. Also, in reverse, stories are introduced (in which the cat /cat is indirectly mentioned), recorded by the ethnographic expeditions of Omsk State University, mainly among Russian Siberians ..
