It was developed in order to improve the methodology for mapping seismic microdistricting of cities and settlements, as well as to assess the seismicity of construction sites of buildings and structures in various regions of the RSFSR .. Based on the analysis and generalization of literary and stock materials and taking into account the engineering-geological zoning of the territory of the RSFSR, a brief engineering and seismological characteristic of the main seismic regions of the RSFSR is compiled.
