"Laws" - the largest dialogue of Plato. Experts consider it to be one of the late dialogues of the Athenian philosopher . In fact: there is reason to believe that it was written somewhere around 367-361 AD. before n. e. Plato at this time was already sixty-odd years old.. The dialogue was so named because it contains a set of laws for the policy developed in the smallest detail. The fact is that Plato was by no means a "cabinet" philosopher: throughout his life he was interested in politics. He did not have to become a statesman in his hometown of Athens, unlike his uncle Critias, who was, as is known, the head of the board of Thirty Tyrants. However, Plato had a desire to take part in the management of any policy, as evidenced by his repeated attempts to interfere in Syracuse's state affairs.
