The monograph contains a description of modern Russian-sounding speech based on the fixation of diachronic processes in the synchronous state of the language. This paper analyzes a variety of sound changes affecting either the system as a whole or one of the particular phonetic subsystems (both linguistic and sociolinguistic). The latest data on Russian pronunciation have both purely theoretical and descriptive significance (when codifying the pronunciation norm, in the practice of teaching the Russian language, in the media, in the synthesis and analysis of sounding speech in speech technologies) .
