"Comparative biographies" are biographies of prominent historical figures, Greeks and Romans , Grouped in pairs , so that each pair has one biography of a Greek, other Roman in each pair are selected such faces, There are similarities between them.... After each pair, a small article is given - "Comparison" , where they share similar features. We got 23 pairs of such biographies . In the present, second edition of Comparative Life Stories (explained, as opposed to the first (1961-1964.) ) not in three, but in two volumes) the translations of the 1st edition have been changed: accidental inaccuracies have been corrected, the spelling of one's own names has been unified, and t. p. All notes, extensive chronological table and annotated name index are re-written.
