The influence of geometric parameters of welded joints with flanking seams on their work is considered. The presented engineering methodology for the calculation of such joints of components of metal structures allows to significantly expand the existing limitation of the maximum design length of the flanking seam ,. reduce the volume of metal alloy, which results in reduced welding emissions and improved production ecology.
