The training manual was developed for the discipline "Data Analysis" in accordance with the requirements of the GEF HPE in the direction of training 010400. 62 "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science" . Dedicated to the study of various tasks and methods of data analysis. The main part of the manual consists of methods of pattern recognition . Methods of construction of decisive functions and, on their basis, deterministic methods, as well as methods of classification by means of distance functions and statistical methods of classification are considered in detail. The last chapter outlines the ideas and techniques for reducing the dimensionality of a feature space needed to compress, pre-analyze, visualize the source data, and remove non-informative features. It is intended for university students studying in the field of "Applied mathematics and computer science" .
