The monograph is devoted to the presentation of the scientific foundations of cold gas-dynamic spraying , proposed and developed on the basis of the phenomenon of formation of solid-phase coatings found in the ITPM SB RAS during the flow of bodies by a supersonic two-phase (gas-powder) flow , and the creation of new technologies on this basis. Generalized results of experimental theoretical studies of the processes of acceleration of high-dispersion particles in supersonic nozzles are presented , jets, in a compressed layer before the barrier , their weight loss , high-speed elastic-plastic deformation , Erosion-adhesion transition , features of local energy release and physico-chemical interaction at the contact boundary with the formation of bonds. The experimental installations and diagnostic methods developed for this purpose. are described. The structure and properties of coating materials are considered.
