The basic concepts and elements of the electric drive are described. The questions of autoB mathematical control of their coordinates are considered. Described the influence of systems with semiconductor converters on the electrical network. The features and main properties of the most common classes of electric drives with electric motors of various types are given: direct current, asynchronous, synchronous, step, valve, etc. For each type of engines, various control systems built on the basis of modern domestic and foreign developments in power and information electronics are analyzed.
