The manual presents problems with solutions and tests on optics and the basics of quantum mechanics, including nuclear physics. The collection consists of five sections corresponding to the physics course program for technical universities. At the beginning of each chapter, the basic definitions and formulas are given. There are different levels of difficulty. The tests contain five questions and four answers to each question. The applications highlight two current problems: electrodynamics of materials with a negative refractive index and the possibility of constructing invisible materials; Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox and teleportation.
