The greatest Christian mystic Jacob Bhme (1575-1624) was called to appear as the new prophet of the Great Reformation in the midst of a watershed era of religious schism in Germany and Europe. Understanding the position of man in the world, his highest purpose as the “child of God”, he sought to penetrate into the unconditional essence of the human spirit, rooted in the triune God himself, who has his own image in man. Hence also Boehm's understanding of the inner essence of the one Christian Church, which consists in the continuous, unceasing struggle of the spiritual principle of freedom with the self-confidence of external "worship" .. One of the central treatises in Boehme's work "On the Triple Life of Man" (1620) is for the first time offered to a wide range of the reading public.
