Liver or live terpentine, called resinous aromatic liquid, resulting from fresh wounds of coniferous wood, applied in the warm season. In addition to pine gum for various industrial purposes, fir and larch balm-terpentines are also used. Of these, the most expensive is the Venetian terpentine from the European larch. There are other compositions of substances extracted from plants, for example, Strasbourg terpentine, Canadian balm, etc.
