The Arab-Israeli conflict, which lasted for two-thirds of a century and constantly provokes open armed clashes, still remains largely unknown war. In Soviet times, reliable information about the course of hostilities was virtually unavailable - the official press preferred to keep silent about the causes of the defeats of our Arab allies, limited to ritual curses against the "Israeli military" .. After the collapse of the USSR, several informative books on the history of the Arab-Israeli wars were published - but all this was a view exclusively from the Israeli side. This book presents the Arabic point of view for the first time. This unique study, previously kept under the heading of particleboard, is compiled from the testimony of Arab generals and officers who were trained in Soviet military academies. As part of the training process, they were obliged to describe in detail their combat experience, assess the actions of the enemy and the causes of their own defeats. At the same time, as they say, "you can't throw words out of a song" - the book was published without bills and censorship: The harshness of statements and extremely harsh anti-Israeli rhetoric not only help to feel the “spirit of the era”, but also give an idea of the severity of the confrontation in the Middle East, which began immediately after World War II and continues to this day.
