One of the most important features of the plasma is that nonlinear effects are manifested in it already in relatively small electromagnetic fields. The book is devoted to the systematic presentation of the theory of nonlinear phenomena arising during the propagation of radio waves in ionospheric plasma. It deals with the perturbation of the plasma by radio waves - heating of electrons and ions, changing the ionization balance, high-frequency breakdown, excitation of instability. The effects of self-exposure of flat radio waves are discussed in detail: nonlinear change in their absorption, phase and polarization, automodulation and autodemodulation of waves, deformation of pulses, generation of harmonic waves, change in reflection conditions. Particular attention is paid to the propagation of narrow beams of radio waves in a nonlinear environment, their self-focusing and defocusing. A separate chapter is devoted to the study of the effects of nonlinear wave interaction: cross-modulation, interaction of short pulses, mutual focusing and defocusing of radio waves beams, generation of combination frequencies. A significant place is occupied by the systematic presentation of the kinetics of the colliding plasma, located in both a homogeneous and a heterogeneous alternating electric field: determination of the type of functions of the distribution of electrons and ions, calculation of kinetic coefficients ..
