Stunning contemporaries poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky "About it" , published in 1923 with a circulation of 3000 copies with photomontages by Alexander Rodchenko , Subsequently, it was repeatedly reprinted in the West and was recognized as a classic of constructivism and the most expressive experience of visualizing a poetic word. The special significance of Rodchenko’s innovative work is also in the fact that both the author and the heroes of the poem (that is, Mayakovsky himself and Lilya Brik) were included in the illustrative photo series as real actors. The artist prepared 12 photomontages for the book: a cover and 11 leaf illustrations, but only 8 of them went to print. In 1923, Rodchenko himself was not yet engaged in photography and therefore used ready-made printed material in collages - clippings from newspapers and magazines, as well as a series of portraits of Mayakovsky and Lily Brick, specially made by photographer Abram Sternberg ..
