Sound speech and singing (vocal speech) - phenomena that are well known to all . However, not everyone knows what complex acoustic-physiological processes underlie the formation and perception of speech sounds. Especially little has been studied in this regard vocal speech: its mechanisms hide for researchers a lot of amazing, and sometimes even mysterious phenomena. The author of the book in an accessible form acquaints readers with the complex physiological laws that guide the transformation of our speech apparatus into a “speaking musical instrument”, and with the research of these laws by Soviet and foreign scientists.
