Collection of humanitarian works of Tsiolkovsky, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the scientist (1857-1935) It is the most complete publication, including articles of a general nature, as well as works on the philosophy of cosmism (monism as the main principle of the world order, epistemology, the genesis of the universe, anthropology, ethics) and religion. A number of articles are published for the first time. These are “The Scientific Foundations of Religion” (1898), “Space, Time, Darkness and Inanimate Matter Cannot extinguish Life” (1921), “The Perfection of the Laws of the Universe” (1931) and others. Tsiolkovsky appears as a deep and original thinker, reflecting on the fate of the earth and its wealth, the fate of man and the possibilities of his improvement, the laws of eternal renewal and development of the universe, as a result of which a cosmic future awaits a person. Particular attention is paid to the religious articles of the scientist with their special interpretation of well-known evangelical texts .. Tsiolkovsky teaches the reader to think independently, to see in Christ a gifted and kind person who can serve as an example for imitation. Tsiolkovsky as a thinker sought to unite in his worldview materialism and idealism, the idea of God the creator of the universe and the active role of man the transformer of this universe.
