The title of this book was given by a line from the poetic cycle of Marina Tsvetaeva, dedicated to Boris Pasternak .. They met in post-revolutionary Moscow, but really discovered each other in 1922, when Tsvetaeva was already in exile, and letters over the years replaced their live communication. In this volume, the correspondence of the two poets is presented for the first time in the most complete . About three-quarters of the texts have never been published before (among them are more than eighty Pasternak letters and almost as many tetrad drafts and fragments of Tsvetaeva letters, the originals of which are lost). For the first time, a number of autographs of poems Tsvetaeva and Pasternak, which they sent to each other, are also published. All texts are checked against the existing primary sources of distortion, which took place in previous publications, eliminated. The commentary is intended for both specialists and a wide range of readers.
