This essay is a translation of an Austrian work dedicated to the events of 1848-1849. The translation was undertaken by Colonel Bogdanovich and Lieutenant Colonel Lebedev. It remains unclear what source was used for the translation, whether it was indeed a translation at all, or if it was a product of the officers' own creativity.
