On the website, there are already four editions of "Aibolit" by Korney Chukovsky—a film strip, a standalone book in djvu format, as part of a collection, and even in English translation. However, all of these focus on the famous poem "Aibolit." The book I want to present today features the prose tale "Doctor Aibolit," which Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky wrote inspired by Hugh Lofting's works about Doctor Dolittle. This tale is composed of two stories: "A Journey to the Land of Monkeys" and "Penta and the Sea Pirates." It is this very tale that inspired the well-known Soviet film of the same name. The book is beautifully illustrated by artist E. Safonova.
