The foundations of a new scientific and technical discipline - the theory of the complexity of control systems . The methodology of application of complexity theory to actual design tasks is formulated: improvement of quality, reliability, survivability of systems, reduction of costs and terms of development. Based on the axiomatic definition of complexity, complexity of design and methods of their measurement, a mathematical apparatus for computerized synthesis of technically optimal systems has been developed. On the basis of complexity theory, models of computer-aided design systems (CAD of ACS), including flexible (GAPR of ACS) are built. For a wide range of researchers, graduate students and engineers involved in the creation, research and modeling of automatic control systems .
