This book is dedicated to the history of the War of 1812. and its main event Borodino battle . As in the first book (Battle on the northern flank), the author recreates the fighting in the center of the battle with the help of memories from both sides. Until now, this topic has not been so fully studied in Russian and Soviet historiography and only now. through painstaking and comprehensive study of the author's memoirs , related to events, in the morning and in the afternoon , we can most fully imagine, how the fighting around the flash and the village Semyonovskoe . actually unfolded It is possible that the version of the fighting presented in this work is not final, because the history and discovery of new sources can give us an unexpected surprise.
