The book provides a systematic presentation of issues related to the application of the method of modeling large vortices for calculations of turbulent currents. The main focus is on the closure of the filtered Navier-Stokes equations and the construction of subnet viscosity models. The features of the numerical implementation of the method of modeling large vortices are considered and the results of calculations of internal and jet turbulent currents are given.
