Large intrinsic pulsar velocities are one of the unsolved problems of astrophysics. The article considers one of the scenarios, apparently the most attractive from a physical point of view, when a pulsar, a neutron star born in a supernova explosion, receives a giant boost at this point due to the asymmetrical departure of neutrinos. Perhaps this is a large-scale demonstration of the lack of parity in the weak interactions of elementary particles.
